Dr Morgan Yang has more than 20 years experience in Ophthalmology and is also an established Oculoplastics surgeon. He graduated from University College London Medical School in 1999 winning awards in pre clinical sciences, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Oncology. Subsequently he entered and completed Ophthalmology training in 2010, after being certified as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore. 

During his tenure in Ophthalmology training, Dr Yang won numerous awards and prizes for research, clinical service and also for regional specialty meetings. He was sent on a Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) award to the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam to study Oculoplastics, Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery under the auspices of the world renowned Profs Mourits, Saeed and Dr Kloos. 

As a Senior Consultant in the Oculoplastics Department in the Singapore National Eye Centre, Dr Yang was actively involved in the training of residents and fellows, and was also a regular invited speaker and faculty member for international meetings. He entered private practice in 2019 but continues to contribute to public healthcare as a visiting senior consultant in Alexandra Hospital. Dr Yang has an interest in all aspects of Oculoplastics, Lacrimal and Orbital surgery. He currently serves on the executive committee of the Singapore Society of Ophthalmic Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery as a Treasurer, and also as a member of the Sub-Specialty Interest Group for Oculoplastics for the College of Ophthalmology of Singapore.

Dr Yang was on the organising committee for the International Thyroid Eye Disease Society meeting 2023. ITEDS is a non-profit international society, comprised of medical clinicians and researchers, dedicated to educating the public and other physicians about thyroid eye diseases, and to conducting research to understand the disease and lead to prevention and cures.
